Frequently Asked Questions about Home Inspection Services
Many questions have arised about our home inspection services. Take a look below to see if we've already answered your question. If not, feel free to contact us for more information.
| What is a Home
Inspection? | | A home inspection is a visual
inspection of the readily accessible structural, mechanical,
electrical and plumbing components of a house, along with the
grading and foundation. Everything is done according to the
Nevada Revised Statutes. These components may include lots and
grounds, exterior surfaces and components, roofs, garages, attics,
air-conditioning and heating systems, fireplaces, bathrooms,
kitchens, bedrooms, living spaces and laundry rooms. |
| Who Needs a Home
Inspection? | | Our clients include buyers
interested in understanding the condition of their prospective
homes; new homeowners who want their builder to make necessary
repairs prior to the expiration of their one-year builder warranty;
homeowners who see problems with their homes and want to understand
the condition to make repairs; and sellers who want to know the
condition of their property in order to make necessary repairs
prior to listing. |
| What Do I Get from the
Home Inspection? | | Once the inspection is
completed, we will provide the owner/client with a
computer-generated report of the home inspection. This report will
be presented in an easy-to-read format, which will allow the client
to easily understand the condition of the readily accessible
structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing components of a
house or building, along with the grading and
foundation. Because the report is on computer, it can be
e-mailed or faxed according to our client’s preference. A hard copy
also can be mailed. |
| How Soon Do We Need to
Schedule an Inspection? | | The sooner the better. In
many cases, a client’s due diligence period lasts for only a short
time. It may take a few days for a client to get the inspection
time that works for all parties involved. We recommend that you
schedule your home inspection as soon as your offer has been
accepted and escrow has been opened. |
| When Can I Expect My
Report? | | Once the inspection is
completed, you will receive an e-mail or faxed report
within 24 hours. |
| How Do I Schedule a
Home Inspection? | | We ask that
you complete our order form online or
call us. Once you have submitted the form to us, we
will contact you to schedule the inspection. E-mail us to learn
more about our home inspection services. |
